What is it that makes French food and drink culture so enticing? Is it the decadence of their deep roster of complex cheeses and unmistakable wines? Could it be the unmatched luxury of French bread and pastries? Or is it the warm and homey flavors of timeless dishes like coq au vin and boeuf bourguignon? It’s this unique legacy that has inspired Taste France in its mission to promote French food and beverages around the world since 2019. From the cobblestone streets of Germany to the bustling markets of Hong Kong, Taste France has left its mark, bringing a bit of France to eager taste buds around the world. And with its dedicated presence in New York City, Taste France gives New Yorkers a chance to experience the very best of French cuisine and vineyards right here in Gotham.

From food festivals to wine tastings to pop up events, Taste France’s New York City presence offers a unique opportunity for locals and tourists alike to immerse themselves in the remarkable tapestry of French culinary culture. But Taste France isn’t just about local events—it's also a digital magazine that revels in the glory of French food and wine, and the enthusiastic foodies, chefs, sommeliers and culture-loving influencers who celebrate it. Through its rich recipes, captivating videos and insightful stories, Taste France Magazine invites readers and followers to embark on a culinary journey through France's diverse gastronomic landscape. And with its thriving social media community, Taste France is a phenomenon without borders, bringing together Francophile foodies and wine connoisseurs from around the globe, united by their passion for all things French cuisine.

For those lucky enough to be in the city this summer, perhaps the biggest highlight—the pièce de résistance, if you will—of Taste France's New York City 2024 event calendar is the Taste France Garden, an enchantingly chic pop-up experience nestled within the iconic annual Jazz Age Lawn Party at Governor’s Island. The Taste France Garden invites partygoers to step back in time to the glitz and glam of the Roaring Twenties and indulge in the delights of French food and drink with an immersive experience that transports guests to France with a classic Pétanque field recreation, complete with a photobooth offering the perfect backdrop for capturing memories. From a French-style “sip fresh” wine bar featuring Centre-Loire wines and bites to a spirits-focused space serving up tantalizing Citadelle gin cocktails, the Taste France Garden is a haven for discerning palates. And for those looking to take a piece of France home with them, the French Market area offers a curated selection of gourmet delights. There will also be exclusive French VIP Picnic Baskets available for purchase. These are only available ahead of the event, though. Buyers will be able to pick up the baskets—which include wines from Pairme, cheeses from Cheese2U, treats from St. Michel and more—in the French Garden. Garden visitors can also expect a few surprises!
