Time Out says

A pet-friendly chain hotel located conveniently close to Orly airport

Mercure is a pet-friendly chain with high-end hotels all over the world. This four-star affair near Orly airport is not their fanciest, but is lovely nonetheless. The earthy browns, creams and oranges throughout the rooms and communal areas are calming, plus all the rooms are well soundproofed, so the endless amount of flights taking off and landing shouldn’t keep you up all night. Each room has access to free wi-fi, a minibar, satellite TV and everything you need to make a brew. Breakfast is laid on as a buffet, and for the evening there’s an on-site restaurant and bar, Carnet de Voyages, which serves traditional French cuisine and cocktails.

Neighbourhood: Mercure Rungis is on the northern edge of the airport – there’s a free shuttle bus that’ll take you there in under ten minutes. Once in Rungis you can satisfy any hunger pangs at a modest selection of eateries, including L’aloyau steakhouse, seafood restaurant A la Maree or fine French dining at La Grange. If you want to venture further out, take the RER C from Rungis-la-Fraternelle, which will link you to the RER B at Antony and have you at the south edge of Paris in half an hour.

Nearby:
Marché International de Rungis: For serious foodies who want to get their hands on the same produce as Paris’s prime restaurants
Parc de Sceaux: For a breath of fresh air in 180 hectares of beautifully manicured greenery
Les Catacombes: For history buffs with a taste for the macabre

Time Out tip: There's another Mercure hotel not far from Orley airport, so make sure you check you've got the right transfer.
