Celebrating the literary world of poetry, prose and spoken words, the annual state-sponsored festival will host various writers, novelists, spoken word artists and more from diverse writing disciplines. Themed ‘The Ties that Bind’, Malaysian writer and cartoonist Datuk Lat will headline this year’s festival alongside literary figures like Tash Aw, Shamini Flint, Chiew-Siah Tei, Dr. Ghulam Sarwar-Yousof, Cecil Rajendra, Huzir Sulaiman and more. Special highlights such as filmmaker Amir Muhammad’s nightly film screening and the debut of ‘The Gift of Rain’ trail inspired by Tan Twan Eng’s first book are not to be missed.
