If you’re in need of some spiritual calm in an oasis of tranquility, this café/bookstore is the perfect place. Just try to avoid it during the weekends when similarly-minded teenagers and college students flock there to chat in the bamboo garden over a pot of tea or coffee. Part of the Malaysian Tzu Chi foundation, similar branches can be found all around the country and they sell books on subjects such as health, education and religion. Most of the books are in Chinese but they stock English collections too.
