If you’re in Penang this weekend and you’re looking for some fun things to do after sunset, the Sundown Festival Malaysia is just the ticket. The festival will spotlight music, art, craftmanship and food, and there will be great live performances by local talents and interesting local vendors.
If it’s music you’re after, the line-up includes Electro Salmon with their own version of vintage funk, The Viscerals, and indie folk pop from The Maetheads. This being Penang, there will be lots of food and drink options with popular restaurants like Mish Mash with their crafted cocktails, myBurgerLab and Little Journeyman making an appearance. If it’s local food you’re after, crispy pork belly and roast duck pancakes are just some of the snacks on offer.
An art exhibition by Ronald Lim from the award-winning UXSTAR Installation team in Kuala Lumpur will be on show as well. If you’re into contemporary photography trends or just enjoy art in general, be sure to find out what he has in store.
In conjunction with celebrating art and craftmanship, there will be different workshops happening over this weekend where you can sign up for candle making, brush lettering and terrarium making.
