An international outreach that devotes to the joy of 'Ideas worth spreading', TEDx is a program of local, self-organized event that draws inspiring personalities to share their stories under the TED spotlight. TEDxWeldQuay is the Penang spin-off that aims to inspire, change and cultivate the minds of the Penang community. This year unveils a diverse speakers line-up such as Boey (Malaysian artist), Sam Coleman (Editor in Chief of Esquire Malaysia), Bihzhu (jazz songstress), Yung Shen (founder of Swagger Salon), Gary Thompson (co-founder of Cloud Inc.) and Simon Faure-Field (CEO of Equal Strategy).
