The latest, limited-edition expression of Hendrick’s Lunar Gin draws inspiration from the moon-lit garden of master distiller Lesley Gracie. “In the still of the night, you can get all sorts of smells – there are certain flowers that only release their scent under the light of the moon,” she shares. The result: an alluring blend that evokes floral notes and warm spices, with a refreshing citrus finish.
And the best way to enjoy this curious concoction? While the moon is shining bright. Head over to the breezy decks of Smoke and Mirrors to sample the Cocktails and Moonbathing menu, from now till January 29 2022. The winning bar amps up the whimsy to present three magical tipples. Lunar Pixie ($27) captures the sweet, sprightly energy of the mythical creature, with cordials scented with lychee-coconut and wolfberries. Elixir of Legolas ($28) is a deceptively easy to sip creation, suffused with aromatic bergamot liqueur and cardamon cordial. Then, there’s Harvest Moon ($26) that seeks to capture its many phases in a well-balanced combination of bittersweet notes (from Cynar) and bright tartness (from lime and grapefruit).
Between sips, snack on unusual bites of La Luna Pizza ($22), topped with rounds of figs; tatter tots stuffed with cheddar orbs ($8); or flan shaped into a crescent ($6).
