It’s a double bill of legendary ’50s rock ’n’ roll music icons. Formed in Los Angeles in 1953, The Platters have more than 40 hot singles to their name, including chart-toppers like ‘The Great Pretender’, ‘Twilight Time’, ‘Smoke Gets into Your Eyes’ and ‘Only You’. They’re back in town after their sold-out gig here last year along with their former lead singer Sonny Turner, as well as long-standing doo-wop vocal group The Drifters, who make their debut in Singapore with golden classics like ‘Save the Last Dance for Me’, ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’ and ‘Under the Boardwalk’.
