Kueh Lapis is a traditional, rich layer cake made from eggs and butter; some of the best recipes are said to come from Peranakan grannies. Owner Bruce Ngam offers four permutations of his family recipe: classic, prune, liqueur and the works (prune and liqueur). Advance orders are essential.
