Time Out says

Teachers of the arts take note, Singapore Drama Educators Association is organising Connections, an initiative to share practical teaching tools and strategies, promotion of good practices, and discussion of emerging issues, challenges and policies. Two workshops will run concurrently, Devising Strategies by Patricia Toh, which teaches participants strategies to generate material and create staging compositions, as well as understand the nature and possible challenges of devising, and 15 Minutes of Drama by Marianne Sim which helps participants use dramatic text to make performance meaningful and relevant to young audiences.

There will also be a forum where guests Alvin Tan founder of The Necessary Stage, Drizzle Poh, Assistant Director of National Arts Council, Nora Neo-Crothers, Director of inwardBound, freelance theatre practitioner and drama educator Rosemary McGowan and panel moderator, theatre director Jeffrey Tan take on the topic of arts competitions in schools.

The workshops ($100 for public/$60 for SDEA members) will be from 10am-1pm, and the forum ($10 for public/free for SDEA members) will be from 2-4pm.
