Time Out says

Prepare to be moved by this beautiful ode to the late poet Xu Lizhi. I Swallowed a Moon Made of Iron amplifies the unheard voices of migrant factory workers in Shenzhen, China. Named after one of Xu's most famous poems, the powerful yet haunting performance features Canadian composer and performer Njo Kong Kie transforming the poems into song. Together with voice, piano, theatre and video imagery, the performance acts as a contemplative landscape – encouraging all to remember the resilience of those who endure brutal working conditions while protesting against economic injustice. Secure your seats fast as this critically acclaimed work takes over the Arts House for one night only in Singapore as part of its Southeast Asia tour.
