Time Out says

Artist Krishnapriya Tharmakrishnar's exhibition titled 'Membrane' is a representation of the artist's inner feelings and yearnings. He sketches have been designed as 'breathing' structures, which appear as seen from a scientific microscope. Each line is innovated with sensible and sensitive feelings, frozen at the botton of heart. Krishnapriya takes the effort to expose her void of a mother's love mentally and physically through her creations. Thin white lines gently inscribed braided patterns, veins and figures on a soft paper background. The range of colours is limited to a harmoniously light colours.

Krishnapriya's minimalistic compositions are reduced to very mellow, almost invisible imprints that are derived of a distinct female imagery. It demands concerntration and patience to discern the artist's inner feelings. She focuses on her own identity and overall, the lines represent the variable direction of her life. They also represent the artist's past, pleasent and unpleasent experiences as well as her future hopes and dreams.

Her drawings are intimate and claim strengths to balance the given space juxtaposed with traces of her own life path.
