Vessel: Layla Gonaduwa

Layla Gonaduwa, an interdisciplinary artist, has moved toward a more conceptual art practice in the recent times. Her concepts are inspired by the politics of human perception and her personal journey of self, through a cathartic and conceptual installations. Layla has exhibited extensively both locally and internationally in solos and group exhibitions and her work can be found in private and public collections here and abroad. In Vessel, Layla considers the process of emotional resilience and survival rather than the metamorphic maternal symbolism it offers.
