Watch the sea water spurt out to towering heights when it thrusts water against the narrow rocky cove and pushes it through a hole in the rock bed with a ‘wheezing’ sound. Sometimes when the wind conditions are favourable the water sprouts up to a height of 30m. This is a rare and exciting natural sight and has been a crowd puller for many years. Also known as the Hummanaya.
Kudawella Blow Hole (Hummanaya)
Time Out says
The name Hummanaya is attributed to the noise made when the water gushes up the narrow fissure.
