Movies for July

Paththini is the Hindu goddess of chastity. This film depicts the dramatic story of how she, through sheer fidelity, became deified. The film’s protagonists are Pooja Umashankar, Uddhika Premaratne and Aruni Rajapaksha.

Rajinikanth’s much-awaited movie of the year, Kabali is being released in July worldwide. Radhika Apte pairs with Rajini while Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, Dhansika and John Vijay appear in supporting roles. The teaser and the songs have created much awe amidst his fans. Written and directed by Pa Ranjith, the music compositions are by Santhosh Narayanan.

Directed by Justin Lin, this upcoming science fiction is about the crew of the USS Enterprise, who, halfway into their five-year mission, are attacked by a mysterious enemy where they are left out to battle against in an unknown planet. The movie’s protag- onists are John Cho, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Karl Urban.

Jason Bourne, the fifth movie of the series is a spy thriller movie featuring Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones.

Featuring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles, Sultan is the story about a wrestler who has problems in his professional and personal life. 

Dishoom is a Rohit Dhawan direction featuring John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshay Khanna in the lead roles. Dishoom is a story about India’s batsman who goes missing in the Middle East, where two cops from either side of the Arabian Sea team on a 36-hour man hunt.

A Prabhu Solomon direction, Thodari stars Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. Music compositions are by D Imman.
