Time Out says

The Galle music festival is the sister festival of the much acclaimed Jaffna music festival and will deliver a full day of entertainment with an eclectic line up of both local and Indian talent. It will feature singing and dancing as well as the chance to experience many Sri Lankan rituals. 

Morning 10am–1pm at the Fort Square 
The GMF will collaborate with the Galle Good Market to feature Sri Lanka's creative heritage of music, art and cuisine. 

Evening 5pm–10.30pm at the Galle Samanala Grounds, international musicians will take the stage to celebrate folk and contemporary music. 

The international artist performing this year would be Raghu Dixit and collaborative performances by: Urban Rappers: OJ Da – Nuwara Eliya, Pamuditha Anjana - Dematagoda, Krema Diaz – Galle, and Imaad Majeed – Colombo; University Students Collaboration (University of Peradeniya, Eastern University and University of Jaffna);Music Matters and Eastern University Collaboration; and Soul Sounds, Colombo Drummers and Thappu drumming collaboration.

Also the local individual artists to perform are: Sufi (The Islamic Social Heritage Cultural Association) – Akkaripattu; Puli Kooththu – Batticaloa; Karagam – Mullaitivu; Thappu Drummers (Kaveri Kala Manram) – Kilinochchi; Kolam – Ambalangoda; and Colombo Drummers (Sandasi Drum and Dance Academy) – Colombo. Entrance is free!
