Synonymous with elegance and colonial charm, the Galle Face Hotel is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest hotel in the tourism industry. Coupled with star-class restaurants, it is at the forefront serving delicious cuisine. Along with the hotel’s renovations, Sea Spray Restaurant too received a facelift.
The night was clear and starry on our visit to Sea Spray Restaurant, leading the group to opt to dine alfresco. With the setting of a beachfront, the breeze and dim lighting, the atmosphere was magical. The indoor dining area is spacious and elegant with shades of the ocean creating an all-round seafood experience. Sea Spray sets the perfect ambience for good humour and conviviality.
Serving authentic dishes with contemporary twists, the carefully curated menu is a creation of Executive Chef Adam Gaunt Evans and Chef de Cuisine Jagath Raweendra. The best ingredients from the ocean transforms into works of art at Sea Spray.
Dexterity by experience is apparent from the presentation of the dishes with intricate garnishing. The Raw Bar offers you the freshest variety of seafood, which you can choose to enjoy raw or cured. The desserts are sweet delights that compliment a rich seafood course.
Sea Spray serves a range of cocktails, mocktails and a selection of wines from the Wine Cellar. Adding to your experience is the well-trained staff who are well-versed in helping you choose the most suited sides and sauces, and the wines that will compliment your meal.
The friendly and easy chatter of diners stands witness to exceptional service and great food at Sea Spray. It is an experience one must indulge in: especially on a celebratory night.
