The restaurant that was once located in Havelock road has since found its way to a more spacious location in Melbourne Avenue with enough room for both upstairs and downstairs seating. The vibe at the restaurant is very relaxed with little features of Indian culture such as wooden chairs carved out in the South Indian style and colourful paintings depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. Diners will feel at ease with the welcoming environment and then be wowed by the tasty meals expertly prepared by the restaurant.
Naturally Mathura does all the vegetarian dishes one can expect from the South Indian region. Their vegetable biryani is a must try and the paper masala dosai is another customer favourite. Large and perfectly crisp with very minimal use of oil, it is probably one of best paper dosais you can find in town.
