Puthra Samagama

Puthra Samagama is a translation of Alexander Vampilov’s Russian play – The Elder Son. Directed by Jayalath Manoratne, it utilises humour to subtly portray the socialist ideology of humanity; that all human beings are brothers to one another. While expressing an ironical review of young lives in the modern society, it also attempts to give young love, a deeper meaning, which exemplifies the innate human nature.
