Alliance Française de Kandy (AFK), founded in 1967, promotes French culture and provides a space for cultural exchanges between Sri Lanka, France and the French-speaking world. It is the primary centre for French language studies and conducts preparatory courses for the O-Level and A-Level examinations. It also has a multi-media library.
