Colombo Fashion Week is back for the Spring and Summer 2017 season with a talented entourage of emerging and established designers. The glamour packed event will see four days of skill and inspiration take the runway.
A gala cocktail event at Il – Ponte, Hilton Colombo on February 21, 2016 will mark the commencement of #CFWSS17. Fittings Backstage will take place the next day at the Ballroom, Hilton Colombo.
Day 1 Emerging Designers Showcase
Taking place on February 23, 2016 will showcase 11 sets from emerging designers. This year’s emerging designers are, Angelina Seneviratne, Azzraa Thaarick, Nayani Fernando, Juxtapose, Tilini Perera, Anushika Perera, Poorni Wijesinghe, Nipuni Silva, Rashmi Yashodya, Vathsala Gunesekara, Gedi Route – Mehar Bedi.
Day 2
Famous names will take the ramp on Day 2 at the Main Ballroom on February 24, 2016. The latest work of Bibi Russell, Jai – Jayashree Jayasingha, Amanda Weeresinghe, Indeewari Yapa Abeywardena, Catherine Rawson, Amilani Perera, Charini Suriyage, Gihan Ediriweera, Sonali Dharmawardena, Samant Chauhan will be featured.
Day 3 Menswear
Dedicated to men, Day 3 will awe audiences on February 25, 2016 at the Main Ballroom. Designs featured will be by Conscience, Kasun Gunewardena, Heshan De Silva, Lars Andersson, Shanika Samarakkody, Shaunak Sen – House of 3 and Mevan Kaluarachchi.
CFW Knowledge Workshops will also be held on this day at The Blue from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm. The highlight is the Creative Deconstruction by celebrity photographer Rid Burman. Tickets are priced at 1,750 LKR.
Day 4
The grand finale on the ramp will see a dazzling array of designs take the ramp on February 26, 2016 at the Main Ballroom, Hilton Colombo. The sets featured will be by Gaetano Navarra, Ramona Oshini, Maus, Dimuth Sahabandu, Colombo Jewellery Stores, Upeksha Hager, Falguni and Shane Peacock and Rizwan Beyg.
The much-loved CFW After Party will take place at The Blue, Hilton Colombo, ending the weeklong event in style.
