Jason Derulo to rock Colombo

Miami-born singer, songwriter, dancer and heartthrob will be sweeping Colombo off its feet on April 8 with his smooth dance moves, jaw-dropping vocals and strong charisma. Breaking through his humble beginning as a songwriter for Lil Wayne, Diddy, Pitbull and other international stars, Derulo has now sold over 50 million singles worldwide as a singer. With a loyal following of over 20 million on social media, Derulo shows no sign of stepping down.

Scoring more than two billion views on YouTube and one billion plays on Spotify, his single ‘Want to Want Me’ from his latest album Everything is 4 makes history as the most added track in Top 40 radio, consequently making it the biggest Top 40 US radio launch ever. Everything is 4, his fourth successful album features artists such as Meghan Trainor, Stevie Wonder, Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and others with catchy songs such as Painkiller, Get Ugly, Love like that, Broke and more.

With 11 career-defining platinum singles including Want To Want Me, It Girl, Whatcha Say, Ridin’ Solo, In My Head, Don’t Wanna Go Home and Talk Dirty (his 2014 album) which obtained five platinum singles, he stays on par with artistes such as Drake, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars. The track Talk Dirty, sold more than six billion singles worldwide and became number 1 around the world in 2014. While the album Talk Dirty with Wiggle, Marry Me, and Trumpets are still favourites amongst his fans.

Adding to his success he was a five-time winner at the BMI Pop Awards, and was honored as its ‘Song writer of the year’ in 2011. He has also won three Teen Choice Awards and won many international awards such as MTV Video Music, MTV Europe Music, Billboard Latin Music, ARIA Music, NAACP Image and MOBO Awards. Derulo was recently nominated for an iHeart Radio Music Award for the ‘Best Collaboration’ with 2 Chainz for Talk Dirty. Jason Derulo has also appeared as a judge on “So You Think You Can Dance”.
