People, Puddles, Paradise

Dilai’s passion towards art was inspired by the works of classical mixed and contemporary themes. Featuring a variety of themes, Dillai uses charcoal, acrylic, oil and dry pastels to portray ‘Pettah’ which addresses the works of life. Her interest on nude and semi nude works was inspired by Lionel Wendt’s work on Sri Lankan nudess which has brought artistic light to form and structure. She also pays tribute to Lionel Wendt with some of her experiments with drapes and jewellery.
