[title]Popular South Indian singer, actor, music director and film producer SP Balasubrahmanyam, also known as SPB, will visit Jaffna for a live performance. SPB has records for more than 40,000 songs in various languages, including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. He holds the Guinness record for recording the highest number of songs. His venture with M S Vishwanathan, Illayaraja and A R Rahman have received much recognition. Having established himself in the South Indian music industry, his last recordings were for ‘Kochadaiyan’ and ‘Linga’ in 2014. He is also a recipient of national awards such as Padmashri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2011) from the government of India. Gangai Amaran, S N Surendran, Deepan Chakravathy, Surmuki, Priya Himesh and Malavika will join along with SPB.
