Despite the pandemic, Tokyo Disneyland has been slowly expanding with a new Beauty and the Beast castle as well as a Baymax-themed attraction, both of which opened last year. Now the happiest place on Earth is adding another hotel to its grounds, with the Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel set to open on Tuesday April 5 2022

Created to make you feel as if you’ve stepped into the world of Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear and gang, the hotel façade, entrance, lobby and other areas are all designed to bring the Academy Award-winning Toy Story films to life.

The expansive hotel will feature 11 floors with 595 guest rooms and will be directly in front of Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line, so you’ll have easy access to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

Themed rooms include a guest room inspired by Andy's bedroom from the first Toy Story movie, which even features the same cloud wallpaper and a poster of Buzz Lightyear.

You'll be transported to the world of Toy Story from the moment you step into the hotel as the main foyer area will feature a fun game-board-inspired ceiling and a puzzle floor. There'll also be a gift shop based on Pizza Planet, the restaurant that Andy frequents with his toys, selling exclusive merchandise.

Breakfast and dinner buffets will be served at the hotel's Lotso Garden Cafe featuring a playful interior and characters like Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear from Toy Story 3.

Photo spots will also be available around the hotel's outdoor courtyards where you can snap photos with your favourite characters including Woody, Bo Peep, Buzz and Jessie.

The new venue is the fifth Disney hotel to open in Japan and is classified a 'moderate-type' accommodation, meaning the price point will be in-between the resort’s low-cost and high-end hotels.

Reservations for the new hotel will be opened at a later date.
