Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka is known for its fifth-floor observation deck, which offers a breathtaking view of the city. However, this landmark is now more than your average tourist attraction. The tower has installed a slide that takes you from 60 metres in the air all the way to the ground while you marvel at the cityscape.

The exhilarating ride down the all-new Tower Slider only takes ten seconds from the observation deck on the third floor.

The slide isn't connected to the main shaft of the Tsutenkaku Tower, but to the adjacent EV Tower.

Even better, it's a tube with a transparent top, so you can take in the scenery while spiralling down slide. In case of emergencies, the slide can also be used as an escape route, especially during earthquakes.

It's open from 10am to 7.30pm daily and costs ¥1,000 (¥500 for middle school to primary school students) per ride.

See Tsutenkaku Tower’s website for more information.
