From sinking into a super squishy bed to munching down on room service wearing a fluffy white dressing gown, there’s not much better than staying in really nice hotel. And if you’re sat at your desk dreaming of a few nights away, you might be persuaded to take the trip when you hear that Britain’s 10 best hotels have just been revealed (well, according to TripAdvisor at least).
The ratings website has ranked the UK’s 10 most popular and highly rated hotels in the 2024 Travellers’ Choice Awards. Here’s the lowdown.
Taking first place in the Traveller’s Choice Awards for UK hotels was The Resident in Covent Garden, London. The central London spot came out on top for its prime location, ‘cosy’ rooms and ‘friendly staff’, gaining more than 1,700 five-star ‘excellent’ reviews on the site.
Aviator Hampshire in Farnborough was second, with more than 800 ‘excellent’ ratings. The boutique hotel set in over seven acres of land is inside a futuristic building that’s giving James Bond a run for its money. It’s also got three swish restaurants and am impressive looking modern lobby.
In third place was another London spot. The Chesterfield Mayfair took the cake with more than 5,000 glowing reviews. This very posh hotel is known for its eclectic British decor, and its proximity to central London and Hyde Park makes it ideal for a weekend in the capital.
Other hotels in the UK’s top 10 included Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire which is home to Raymond Blanc’s two-Michelin-star restaurant, Greenhills Country House Hotel in Jersey and Hotel 41 in London.
