Happy birthday, Norse Atlantic Airways! This new airline turns one year old today, and to observe this landmark, it’s running an amazing global sale. You have one week to book before the sale ends on June 21, or until the flights sell out. Last year, the airline flew its inaugural flight between Oslo, Norway, and New York City, and quickly grew its reach to include seven destinations in the US and five in Europe. Now after more than 2,630 flights that shuttled nearly half a million travelers (and lots of cargo tonnage) to incredible destinations, the airline is celebrating its staying power.

Are these sale prices good? Oh, baby! They start at $129 one-way—which includes the taxes and fees, which is huge—between the US and Europe.

Let’s look at the sales the airline is offering right now. All prices are one-way (so mentally double the figures if you aren’t planning on becoming an ex-pat) and complete (no hidden gotchas when you check out), and there are some blackout dates to be aware of:

  • New York’s JFK to Olso from $129
  • Fort Lauderdale & Miami to Oslo from $149
  • Los Angeles to Oslo from $189
  • New York to London (LGW) from $139
  • Fort Lauderdale & Miami to London from $159
  • Orlando to London from $159
  • Boston to London from $129
  • Washington, DC to London from $159
  • San Francisco to London from $169
  • Los Angeles to London from $179
  • New York to Berlin from $169
  • New York to Paris from $169
  • New York to Rome from $189

Just so we’re all clear, this is an “economy light” fare so you’ll have to pack light—your baggage has to fit under the seat in front of you. You’ll pay extra for using the overhead bins or for checking your luggage. You won’t be able to pick your seat or have any extras without paying extra. But that’s cool—channel your backpacker self and be prepared to do laundry while you’re overseas. You can rejoice in not having to wait for your luggage at the carousel or worry about it being lost or delayed. With this category of travel, you’re as footloose as possible.

If you want to upgrade to the premium cabin space, you’ll be much more comfortable but maybe not as nimble. Norse offers three fare classes: light, classic and Flextra—that last one gives you baggage allowance, two meals, enhanced experience onboard and in the airport, and ticket flexibility. Norse’s 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners operate out of New York, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Boston—and overseas through Oslo, London, Berlin, Rome and Paris.
