The percentage of disrupted flights at these airports landed them on this unfortunate top 10 list

Airports have seen record numbers of travelers during peak travel seasons over the summer and holidays, and with that comes the hassle of backups at TSA checkpoints and dreaded flight delays and cancellations. A new report by the passenger rights organization AirHelp has identified the U.S. airports that had the most disruptions this past February.
The list isn't meant to airport-shame, but you might want to pay attention next time you're scheduling a flight—consider avoiding a layover at any of these airports.
At the top of the list is D.C.'s Ronald Reagan National Airport. A whopping 40.2% of flights going through this airport were disrupted in February. At number two is Boston Logan International Airport with 31.9% of flights disrupted. Rounding out the top three is Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport with 27.9% of flights disrupted. The New York area performed poorly as well, with JFK International, Newark Liberty and LaGuardia landing in spots four, five and six, respectively.
This unfortunate ranking surprisingly does not include Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport—recently named the world's busiest airport—so they're definitely doing something right.
If you do experience a delay, AirHelp can help you secure compensation on any airline. Just plan accordingly if you're traveling through any of these airports.
