Back in the country for the first time in more than three decades, the FIFA World Cup will return to the United States this summer for 39 days of competitions between national teams from across the globe.
Held from June 11 to July 19, the hosting duties for the 2026 edition of the World Cup will actually be shared between Mexico, Canada and 11 cities in the United States, where the bulk of the action will take place—including the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team’s tournament opener as well as all of the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

But the U.S. is big; nearly 3,000 miles separate the Statue of Liberty from the Golden Gate Bridge, which are about as close to each other as Lisbon is to Moscow. Our point: This isn’t your typical World Cup, geographically speaking, so rather trying to cover every host city in a single story, we’ve published individual guides for all of the U.S. match locations, which you’ll find farther down this page. First, we’ll get you up to speed on some big-picture info like the general locations and ticketing details, but then scroll down to find everything you need to know about each city’s stadium, transportation, fan zones and hotel recommendations—followed by the U.S. match schedule.
Where is the FIFA World Cup being held in the U.S.?
There are 11 U.S. host cities, though like professional sports teams, sometimes the name and the location aren’t a one-to-one match; for example, the matches in Dallas actually take place in Arlington, which is outside of the city limits and close to Forth Worth. And then the stadium names are all free of branding, so you may know it as MetLife Stadium, but for the World Cup it’ll be New York New Jersey Stadium.
With that said, here are all the official FIFA names as the more familiar names and locations—and you can click on each destination to find our full guide to that city:
🍑 Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)
🦞 Boston (Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA)
🤠 Dallas (AT&T Stadium in Arlington)
🚀 Houston (NRG Stadium)
🍖 Kansas City (Arrowhead Stadium)
🎬 Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA)
🌴 Miami (Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL)
🗽 New York New Jersey (MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ)
🔔 Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field)
🌉 San Francisco Bay Area (Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA)
🌲 Seattle (Lumen Field)
In addition, the tournament will host matches in three cities in Mexico (Mexico City, Monterrey and Gualajara) and two in Canada (Vancouver and Toronto).
Can I still get tickets to the World Cup?
The final “last-minute sales” phase started on April 1, with another drop on April 22. And, of course, there’s also an official resale marketplace. Pricing and availability varies greatly by round and location; for some cities and matches, we were able to find seats starting around $200, while you can expect to pay into the thousands for others. We offer more specific
Though the round of 32 and quarterfinal stages don’t have any availability, we were able to find limited seats during the group play stage—starting around $900, or a get-in price of nearly $2,000 for the matches featuring the USMNT. Otherwise, you can try your luck on the official resale marketplace.
