Has anyone ever asked you where the wind comes from?

Artist Tada Hengsapkul presents his first painting exhibition at 100 Tonson Foundation, introducing an approach to artmaking that uses encaustic, an ancient technique involving heated wax that he spends more than two years researching and developing. His work looks at how religious belief intersects with consumerism, from objects of worship to items that can be bought and sold. Wax becomes a fitting material for this exploration, taking shape through casting, moulding and scraping. Over six months, the gallery transforms into a contemporary altar inspired by ancient objects associated with animistic worship, with paintings and sculptures examining how belief changes over time.October 17-April 11, 2027. Free entry. 100 Ton Son Foundation. 10am-6pm
