Time Out says

The Bangkok’s answer to Central Park. Shaded running
trails and lawn space here provide various excercising, a leisure activity, and relaxing afternoon picnics. And if you can come here on Sunday, from now until the
last Sunday of February, Bangkok Symphony Orchestra is serenading the park-goers with legendary songs composed by King Rama IX for free.

What’s on

Twirl the night away at Lumphini’s legendary big band dance hall

For one evening, Lumphini Hall returns to its original role as a social dance hall, with live big band music filling a room that has welcomed generations of dancers. Expect couples gliding across the wooden floor, familiar standards from the Bangkok Music Division and spectators clapping along from the sidelines. Dust off those dress shoes or favourite evening outfit, arrive early for a table near the action and settle in as daylight fades through the tall windows. By early evening, the dance floor usually takes care of the rest. July 26. Free entry. Lumphini Hall. 5pm
