This corner building in Charoenkrung has stood for about a hundred years, handed down through one family before it became something new. Now it's The Corner House, a community space spread over four floors. The ground floor holds a gallery, a run of restaurants and cafés and a good few ice cream shops. Up on the second, an exhibition space gives emerging artists room to show their work and doubles as a venue for events and private parties. The third floor is home to Such A Small World, a co-playing café done out in modern style with an odd but likeable mix of furniture, plus the Gadhouse flagship store, a small cinema and a big record library where you pick the records and play DJ yourself.
Time Out tip: Pair it with the street art alleys of Talat Noi, River City or Warehouse 30 nearby.
