What is it? A jazz bar combining live music with a classic interior of vintage furniture, a long counter and dim golden-brown light. A black piano and drum kit occupy the ground floor, while the upstairs listening bar plays records from Recoroom Vinyl & Vintage Audio.
Why we love it: The two floors offer distinct but complementary moods. Live jazz fills the low-lit ground floor; upstairs, the pace eases at a listening bar stocked with rare vintage pressings spanning jazz, soul, funk, pop and classic rock. Catch a set below, then retreat upstairs with a drink – it works equally well for quiet company or an hour alone.
Time Out tip: Live jazz bands play in the rear performance space from Wednesday to Sunday, backed by a grand piano and drum kit. Visit on one of those nights to experience the room at its liveliest.
