Sky-high bar Cloud47 was one of the best focal points for admiring the mighty MahaNakhon tower and Sathorn’s vibrant business district until it closed down in 2017. But fret not, the team behind the rooftop beer garden has found a new location atop Haven’t Met Silom hotel, and will continue on delivering amazing views alongside affordable cocktails.
Situated on the ninth floor of the budgetfriendly Haven’t Met Silom, and now renamed as Cloud 9, the bar caters to the hotel’s pool guests as well as outside patrons. It may not be loftily placed as it once was, but it still gets you views of MahaNakhon tower, plus the bustling scenery afforded by the skytrain.
If you’re a fan of wallet-friendly, beachinspired libations, you’ll definitely love it here. The cocktail selection sees a list of classic concoctions with juice-heavy twists, such as Melon Zombie (B320), which mixes white and dark rum with melon liqueur, passionfruit syrup and pineapple juice. For a subtly sweet option, try the refreshing Lemongrass Mule (B320), a vodka-based blend with cucumber syrup, lemongrass, green tea and ginger ale. Classic cocktails are also available.
