City Envy: London's Night Tube

If you've partied your fair share in London, you know how tedious it is to get home after a long night of revelry: either you wait for a night bus, which takes forever, or pour money down the drain by taking a black cabbie. That was then. It’s now a lot easier (and cheaper) to do all-nighters in London—on the weekend, at least. Transport for London (TfL) is now running Night Tube services, with underground trains running around the clock on Fridays and Saturdays on the Central and Victoria lines (more routes will open later in the year). The 24-hour tube won’t only help late-night travelers but will also boost the city’s economy. We would love to see the Bangkok adapt the same system— if the BTS SkyTrain provides an all-night service, then fight for taxis in Ekkamai and Thong Lor after the bars have closed down would cease. Although, we do see one drawback: no more excuse for not coming home Friday night.
