Thailand’s representative to the 2017 Miss World pageant Phatlada "Milk" Kullaphakthanaphat comments on unconventional beauty and how to deal with haters

How would you define beauty?
Frankly, I don't think I’m beautiful—at least according to typical Thai standards for beauty. Natural beauty is real beauty. You can do anything, like makeup, to mask your appearance but you can’t alter your true nature. Who you really are—that’s real beauty for me.

What makes a woman charming?
It’s different for everyone. Someone can be charming when she talks, while another can be charming even when she’s just standing still and doing nothing. I like Kim Kadashian— her attitude makes her attractive.

How do you deal with haters and their negative comments about you?
I just don’t read them [laughs]. I used to get upset every time people would say bad things about me. But the longer I’m here, the more I’ve learned that there are many people who support and believe in my abilities. I’m good now.
