Best for: A group of friends

Just 20 minutes by speedboat from Malé, Centara Ras Fushi is the fun-loving younger sister of Centara. An extensive selection of beach games, snorkeling, water sports and plenty of restaurants and bars will keep you busy all day and away from your cozy villa. Not a fan of kids? You’ve found your place. This North Malé resort is an adults-only retreat that only welcomes guests 12 years old and above.

Book one of the resort’s 42-sq-meter over-water villas to enjoy unparalleled panoramas of the Indian Ocean. There are four types of over water villas. The Deluxe Sunset Water Villa offers a spectacular sunset view while the Deluxe Spa Over-Water Villa has an outdoor Jacuzzi. There are also beachfront villas that lead to powdery sand and warm, crystalline waters. An array of culinary choices helps make the stay more enjoyable. Situated right on the beach, La Brezza whips up authentic Italian dishes, while Suan Bua serves up flavorful Thai food. Our favorite, however, is Al Khaimah restaurant, which offers some of the best Middle Eastern dishes in the Maldives. Feast on chargrilled lamb cutlet, hummus and chicken kebab under a Bedouin-style tent draped with beautiful tapestry. Viu Bar is a laidback venue serving afternoon tea, snacks, refreshments and cocktails. Book a spot on the over water catamaran nets (or just chill on the lounge seats) to best enjoy your drink and the breathtaking view.

Centara Ras Fushi also offers three types of packages: Gold All-Inclusive, All-Inclusive, and Half-Board Plus, which include meals, non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, surfing, and more.
