Here, the dorm beds are bigger than most others we have seen in similar accommodations. If you fret about the idea of sharing a room, Lub d Koh Samui also has private room options, including a comfortable deluxe room with a double bed, and a family room with an extra-large double bed and one bunk bed (enough to fit up to four people). Each room comes with an ensuite bathroom.
Breakfast is served at the beachfront restaurant, with a variety of health-conscious options on the menu. Lunch and dinner services see a gamut of Thai dishes made with locally caught seafood, such as coconut curry of baby squid and prawn tom yum, as well as international variations like steaks and avocado salad. Chaweng Beach may not be the most pristine location on the island, but it does boast convenient access to bars and clubs. Fill up at Lub d before stepping out to enjoy the beach’s nocturnal scene.
Lub d is a no-brainer choice for many reasons. For one, it provides a fun beach-club vibe that Koh Samui lacks. Two, it’s an affordable stay for all kinds of travelers. While it caters to groups of friends and large groups, it’s also perfect for families and the solo vacationer. Its incredible proximity to the airport is also a plus, but it’s the friendly service that really seals the deal and makes every stay memorable.
