The Sukhothai Bangkok
Time Out says
The Sukhothai Bangkok’s newly-renovated Club Wing is a perfect fit for your next staycation
If you’re in for a short weekend getaway but still want to be within proximity of the city, The Sukhothai Bangkok could be your best bet. Set within a lush and spacious compound, a stay at this renowned hotel removes you from hectic urban life despite being just meters away from Sathorn.
Sukhothai has recently lifted the curtain on its new Club Wing after the renovation. The all-new Club Rooms and Club Suites stylishly bridge traditional and modern decor, and now come with updated, extra-luxurious amenities, including comfortable king-sized beds, elegant bathrooms complete with Bottega Venetta amenities, and a welcoming snack provided by local chocolatier Kad Kokoa.
Varying shades of black and gray, an interplay of teak wood, mirrors and granite details inject an edgy, masculine and sophisticated vibe, and a sense of grandeur to the rooms. Traditional Thai elements make an appearance as well, but subtle enough as not to make the decor seem clichéd.
Guests of the Club Wing are granted access to the Sukhothai Club Lounge where food and drinks are served all day. Breakfast is served from early morning, while afternoon tea is provided from 14:00 to 16:00. Aperitif cocktails and wines, accompanied by snacks, are also served before guests indulge in modern Italian creations by David Tamburini at La Scala, or exceptional Thai fare by chef Rossarin Sripathum at Celadon.
A special Weekend Getaway Package, which includes a two-night stay at a Club Room with full access to Club Lounge is now on offer now for B24,800 for two until the end of October. Sunday brunch and a B3,000 spa credit are also thrown into the deal.
