Likay Star

Goethe presents Likay Star, a German documentary about a nine-year-old boy, Manop, who has a dream of becoming a Likay (Thai folk play in elaborate costume) star. His idol is the famous Likay actor Chaiya Mitchai. But living far away from the city, somewhere between the Thailand and Myanmar borderline, with no citizenship, Manop has been struggling to pursue his dream. Manop and Marco WIlms, the director, will be joining a conversation session after the screening.
