Former 80/20 chef Andrew Martin has recently named the new head chef of fine-dining Thai establishment Issaya Siamese Club.

The Canadian-born chef fell in love with Thai cuisine following his visit to Thailand seven years ago and has had working stints in the kitchens of top Bangkok restaurants like Nahm, Bo.lan and 80/20. We applaud his adventurous treatment of local exotic ingredients as reflected in some of the bold-flavored favorites at 80/20 like the sour and spicy lamb tartare with herbal green sauce and “cricket crumble”.

Martin will be working alongside celebrity chef and Issaya co-owner Ian Kittichai. With mild and tourist-friendly flavors of Issaya’s dishes as they’re known for, we expect exciting and massive change from Martin’s creations that are yet to come.
