Yesterday, Dec 11, Time Out Bangkok returned to the historic-creative district of Charoenkrung to kickstart its third edition of lighting installation festival Awakening Bangkok. Lights will be turned on daily until Dec 20, between 6 and 11 pm.

For ten days, locals and visitors alike will get to 39 mesmerizing lighting installation crafted by many Bangkok-based art masterminds, and explore the historic quarter of Chaorenkrung and Taladnoi from an unusual perspective.

Time Out Bangkok photographers visited the Awakening Bangkok grounds on the press and the first days of the event to capture what went down to give you a hint of what to expect. Scroll down to see the photos here.
