Baan Nual has moved to Fueang Nakhon—and reservations remain out of reach

Baan Nual in Samsen is no more. The tiny home-cooking Thai restaurant has moved to a new location on Fueang Nakhon at a time when the historic road is flourishing.

Baan Nual is credited for opening up possibilities for super-small Thai eateries serving fare prepared by the owner. Siblings Yu and Tommy Sakornsin run the intimate dining room on their own—Yu cooks the meals while Tommy decorates and operates.  With only two tables, reservations are tough to pin down and you may need to wait for months.

The new Baan Nual is located in an old shophouse believed to be among the first that was erected on Bangkok’s third asphalt-paved road (the first and second are Charoenkrung and Bamrung Muang, respectively).

The good news is, the new place boasts pretty, if still quaint decor, but now has air conditioning. The bad news is, there are still only two tables—bigger ones, though—so the waiting list is not any shorter. Baan Nual is booked until the end of the year.

Follow them on their IG. It’s their main communication channel for reservations, news, and ad-hoc availability.
