Ronnaporn “Neung” Kanivichaporn, the co-owner and bartender of Backstage Cocktail Bar and Find the Locker Room, emerged victorious at Bacardi Legacy 2019 cocktail competition on 14 June in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, making him the first bartender in Southeast Asia to ever claim the title.
Neung’s signature cocktail Pink Me Up which has become a social media sensation both locally and internationally with the hashtag #DrinkPinkmeup impressed the judging panel and defeated seven other mixologists in the final round. The pink concoction is the smooth and complex mixture of Bacardi Carta Blanca, tomato, orgeat, lemon juice, olive brine and basil.
