The country’s biggest celebration of art Bangkok Art Biennale is set to return this year from 29 October 2020 to 31 January 2021. The organizer has recently announced the second set of 82 celebrated artist lineup including big international names such as Serbian performance artist Marina Abramović, controversial performance art legend Yoko Ano, famed sculptor Anish Kapoor and eccentric video artist Bill Viola. Local talents that will feature their works in this edition of Bangkok Art Biennale comprise artist-slash-writer Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook and independent film director Pen-Ek Ratanaruang.

Organized under the "Escape Routes" theme that explores how artists curb and solve internal and external issues, Bangkok Art Biennale acts as a platform for artists to express their thoughts toward social, political and environmental issues, as well as ignite locals on the sense of art and creativity. The city-wide art fete will provide Bangkokians with free and up-close access to works from world-renowned artists at some of Bangkok's most notable landmarks, historical venues, and art galleries. The venue for this year’s showcase include Bangkok Art and Cultural Center, BAB Box at One Bangkok, Lhong 1919, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and Wat Prayurawongsawat.
