Riverside landmark ICONSIAM is lighting up its entire riverfront promenade with the return of lighting showcase Bangkok Illumination 2020 from now until Dec 30 to celebrate the mega mall's second anniversary and the festive Christmas and New Year season. Dazzling lighting and extensive decorations are arranged across the whole venue with the bits of help from various international artists such as Mike Perry, SOFTlab, and Amanda Parer.

New York-based graphic designer Mike Perry is the biggest highlight on the bill. With his famous accolade from Emmy Awards under his belt, the artist is guaranteed to awe-strike visitors with his uniquely-fashioned 20-meter Christmas trees and Yi Peng lanterns—two festive ornaments that showcase universal patterns and Thai art elements from Buddhist temples and monasteries Perry coalescing into one distinct work of art.

"I love Christmas and spending time with my loved ones," Perry reveals his love for the winter festival. However, he admits that "traditional Christmas decorations" aren't really his thing, which is why he is "thrilled" to be a big part of Bangkok Illumination 2020 largely because of his love of patterns, lights, and colors.

Apart from having a jaw-dropping moment seeing Perry's non-conforming experiments on traditional festive adornment, guests can also walk around vivid glows shining out of "Infinite Forest", the interactive light chambers by New York-based design studio SOFTlab at Napalai Terrace (7th Floor).

"Fantastic Planet" is the other lustrous light installation at the River Park promenade, created by Australian visual artist Amanda Parer. The artist gas brought her inspiration from the Czech/French film of the same name in 1973 to life by two seven-meter illuminated humanoid figures "Pepping Corners" and "What's That".

Until the end of 2020, you can now come and take loads of pictures of the giant bright light show at ICONSIAM. There are also concerts by popular Thai artists taking turn to give joy on different dates, but most importantly, the riverside complex is rolling out a hard-to-deny campaign for keen shoppers. From November 5, 2020 to January 10, 2021, the "ICONSIAM Magic Comes Alive Celebrating 2020" campaign will give back Siam Gift Card worth B200 and B500 for customers who spend B4,000 or B6,000 respectively. What's more: if you make a purchase for more than B50,000, receive a free three-month car parking pass worth B9,000.

Let's go out there and celebrate the coming of a new beginning at ICONSIAM. For more details, please call 1338 or visit www.iconsiam.com.
