The starting horn cuts through the dark, sharp and unmistakable, and suddenly the city shifts gears. Trainers slap the pavement in quick succession as runners stream through Bangkok's historic core in neon kits, old race tees and race-day shoes worn in just right –  proof that the city barely sleeps in the first place.

Mark your calendar: the Bangkok Marathon 2026 returns on Sunday November 8 for its 37th outing. Every year, it pulls in everyone, from nervous first-timers testing their stamina to seasoned marathoners chasing a personal best, all moving through landmarks that look completely different before sunrise.
