The list of the World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 has been revealed, and two bars from Bangkok have made the cut! Congratulations to BKK Social Club, which ranks at no.14, and Tropic City at no. 24. It’s the first time for both bars to make the top 50 list.
BKK Social Club at the Four Seasons first opened in 2020, delivering vibes inspired by Buenos Aires' gilded age along with drinks perfected by celebrated barman Philip Bischoff. It debuted on the extended World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2021 at No. 90 before skyrocketing to no. 14 on this year’s list.
Tropic City in Charoenrkung is a new entry to the list at no. 24, thanks to its evolving collection of rum-based concoctions by Philip Stefanescu and Sebastian de la Cruz, all served in a space inspired by an idyllic beach vacay.
This year’s best bar in the world, according to the list, is Paradiso in Barcelona, Spain, while Singapore’s Jigger and Pony, which came in at No. 12, is effectively the best in Asia.
Two other Bangkok bars made it to the extended list (no. 51 to 100): Vesper at No. 79 and The Bamboo Bar at No. 95.
