Centara Reserve Samui is one of the best new hotel openings in Thailand that you need to keep an eye on. These ocean vistas can also be enjoyed from the resort’s beach bar Salt Society. Featuring interiors that are as stunning as the blue sea it looks out to, the beach bar is aimed at becoming the new “go-to destination for dining and drinking” on Chaweng Beach. Architectural design studio Panorama Architect was tasked to give the venue picture-perfect elements that blend with the resort’s pristine surroundings, and give rise to a hang-out hub consisting of four sub-dining “cube” rooms, each one offering its own unique ambiance and experience: Ice Cube, a cold seafood corner; Hot Cube, a pizzeria; Cold Cube, a dessert corner; and Chilled Cube, a beachfront dining room.
Anchoring the various spaces is Stone Bar, an open-plan central feature that highlights over 1,750 bamboo rods hanging down from the ceiling. Helming the bar are bartenders who go by the name Mr. and Mrs. Smoke, and whose cocktails are as playful as their monikers. A curated playlist of loungey tunes helps heighten the mood.
Whether you’d like to enjoy lunch by the beach, have a sundowner tipple or savor dinner al fresco, Salt Society will take pleasure in providing a memorable dining and drinking experience. For a fun introduction to the venue, come by for Sunday Vitamin Sea Brunch and indulge in delectable dishes that feature local organic produce and seafood with free access to the pool and wet playground in the children’s zone.
